I liked them more than I thought I would

I actually enjoy these more than my 140$ onclouds. I’m very picky about my shoes and as a lifter I need something I can spread my toes in. This is exactly that. It’s roomy, breathable, light and comfortable enough for me to stand in for my 10hr shifts at the hospital. They aren’t super cute in my opinion but for functionality it’s worth the price. They have great traction and are pretty good quality for the price. The material isn’t super thick and honestly my biggest complaint is that since the top is only fabric it’s hard to just slip on without the back end giving a little trouble but that’s a small price to pay for the comfort.

Best Buy Barefoot Sneaker

I bought these for my 12 year old. He has just outgrown them after about 9 months wearing them every day, frequently getting them wet in the creek, to school, on his bike, etc. I am utterly shocked at well they have held up! They’ve been in the washing machine (air dried) about five times, as well. For foot health, this type of shoe can’t be beat. They’re an excellent balance of protection and light cushion from rocks, while still being roomy, flexible, thin soled, and comfortable. Traction is excellent for a non-lugged sole and remained so as they wore. They look nearly new still, with no separation of the sole from the upper, no major wear to the fabric or undue wear to the sole, and the insole is still in one piece, all issues I’ve had frequently with his other name brand shoes. They’ve held up far better than his barefoot style Merrells, and as well as his Altra barefoot hikers. I will definitely be buying more Whitins. Thanks so much for a great product, if you’re reading this, Whitin!

Disappointing size differences

Update: I bought these shoes in Oct 2024 in white. I bought a size 9 to give myself some extra room in the toes, since the size 8 was a little short. The fit was amazing. This week, I decided to get these shoes in grey, so I went to Amazon and ordered them, again in a size 9 so I would have the extra toe room. I just got the shoes, and they SWALLOW my feet. I am SO disappointed, as I wanted to wear them tonight. I will go through the process of sending them back and ordering the size 8 shoes, but I wanted to make sure people realize that the sizing is weird. (I checked the size chart, and it looks like they have changed the sizing since I bought the first ones. The seller should make that public when they do it so returning customers will know not to just "buy again.")Ugh.These are the most comfortable and adorable shoes I have owned in a LONG time. I DID put a little gel insert into the shoes to give them a little more cushion than they come with, but that's just me. I wear an 8 in almost all shoes (except Asics, in which I wear an 8.5), and I bought an 8. My toes almost touch the end of the shoe, but it doesn't rub or become uncomfortable. I swear, these shoes are like wearing socks. I am in love.My ONLY complaint about these shoes is that I can't find the other colors in my size. I am hoping they will be making more and not discontinuing the shoes. I would also love to see these come out in red and white. :)

Great Shoes!

Great for walks! Super comfortable and flexible. I love the zero drop design, I can really feel the ground below my feet as I walk along different terrain. Love the all white vibe. Great wide toe box lets your toes bend and splay as nature intended! 😃

Comfy and well-made

These are my third pair of Whitin barefoot shoes and must say they never disappoint. These don’t require any breaking in and this pair has that classic canvas sneaker look. My other pairs have all held up quite well so far. Very comfy and cute. Great quality and very affordable as well.

Comfortable cheap barefoot shoes with some big issues

Overall these have been very comfortable. The sizing was a bit off, as my usual size turned out to be pretty tight on me even if I removed the inserts (EU 41) but the next size up (EU 42) is fairly loose. It seems as though they need to make the size gap between those two adjacent sizes a little less, or they should offer a between-size option. The laces are not great quality and have already started fraying, as have a few other parts of the shoe, and I've had them less than 2 months. Nothing has completely fallen apart though and I'm curious to see how long they actually hold together. The sole of the shoe is a nice grippy material which provides great traction. The only downside is that it squeaks and screeches horribly if you are walking on hard surfaces such as grocery store floors or tile floors or even hardwood floors. If it doesn't bother you to occasionally hear your shoes let out the death shriek of the beasts of the Nazgul, then these are for you.The canvas is a lovely texture. Unfortunately it seems to collect all the dirt without the benefit of allowing any air through, so despite not being waterproof in the slightest, the shoes will keep your feet extremely moist and sweaty no matter what socks you pair with them. And they'll look years old after wearing them for a week. The inserts provide a surprising amount of cushion for how thin they are. I would like them a lot if they did not keep sliding out from under my feet as I walk, inching up the back of the shoe and creating a most aggravating discomfort under the toes where the tip of the insert rubs against them. (See pictures of the insert slid up against the heel of the shoe.) We've glued the inserts in one pair with shoe glue and that has worked great, so if you're ready to sink some extra money into making the inserts functional, bully for you I guess. The shoes have really been extremely comfortable right from the get-go, but they do seem to have some glaring problems and aren't the highest quality. At all. By the time you buy new laces for them and shoe glue for the inserts you might as well just buy a pair from Saguaro or Splay or Wildling or Vivobarefoot or something. Maybe that's an exaggeration, but I honestly was not expecting all of these issues, and I probably won't buy these shoes again unless they get some improvements.
