Wide calf boots have lace up backs to adjust to your own best fit.

I ordered these Wide Calf Knee High Boots – Adjustable Lace-Up Back Low Heel because I liked the design, especially the lacing up the back.I usually am fine with a regular size boot, but my calf muscles are a bit overdeveloped from years of fencing, and my legs occasionally swell up a bit in hotter weather, or when I’ve logged many miles of walking in a day. I thought I’d give these adjustable wider calf boots a try.These boots are made from faux leather with a rubber sole. The faux leather looks nice; it isn’t sticky or badly dyed or too slick. From a distance, it could pass for real leather. The calf circumference at the widest point is about 18”; many standard sized boots have a 17” circumference, so these give an extra inch. The lacing down the back of the boot affords extra room to expand; you can adjust these to your own best fit.I found these very comfortable for walking; I live in NYC and we walk everywhere. I was able to log many miles a day on city sidewalks, and found the flat sole and roomy toe box easy to wear right out of the box. These are more of a fashion boot; they styled like a riding boot (and look great with my jodhpurs) but I wouldn’t ride in them. Their lighter construction is easy to wear, and these function well as a walking boot.At the current price ($69.99) these are a bit pricier than the average faux leather knee length boot, but the lacing at the back makes it worthwhile; you can adjust these to your own best fit easily. They’re easy to adjust fit-wise, which is great for people like me who may experience swelling in their lower legs. Once the back laces are adjusted, you can use the side zipper for an easy on/off.These came in an attractive square silver box, great for storage or gifting. The seller included a small package of sticky toe inserts; I didn’t need them, but it was a thoughtful little bonus.These come in a wide range of colors; I got the basic black, which looks great with my jodhpurs, leggings, skirts, and dresses, but I’m eyeing some of the other colors with longing, especially the pinks, the deep green, and the bright red. With 20 colors, there’s plenty to choose from.

So tickled with these boots.

First thing to.know is have large calves which makes boot hunting quite difficult and makes online boot shopping virtually impossible.With that deep dread in my heart I ordered these boots anyway and Im not the least bit sorry that I did.Though they may be a touch on the narrow in the foot bed, they fit as a size 7 typically, not a 7 wide, at all.I have to assume the wide refers to the boot shaft though the lacing also adds to the useable circumference. So, I don't know, the "wide" descriptor doesn't seem to.fit the the foot though, definitely.All that said, these boots fit me quite well, and I can absolutely zip them, lace them all the way up, so that's something. There is no gap in the back once fully laced, tied, and zipped so it's an actual "fit" and with plenty of room to spare.They are going to.look great with dresses and with jeans and with skirts and leggings... I can even see shorts being a worthy pairing if done just right.Absolutely gorgeous boots that I am quite pleased with.However, I can not say I would be willing to pay $70 for faux leather even in a boot this nice,even with a shaft that actually.fits my calf. $50, yeah, I can see that and would likely purchase a second pair right now. That is my own personal feeling though. I don't know maybe it is worth it to not have to worry about a boot that doesn't fit properly.I haven't yet worn them for a long period, mostly because I already know they are going to require "breaking in" and that period is likely to come with some pretty achy feet for yours truly.So, great boots with surprisingly good fit. They aren't perfect and the foot is NOT wide but overall I am happy with them and I would buy another pair if I caught them on sale.

I loved the lace up back.

I liked the looks of the boots because of the lace up back to adjust the calf fit. The problem was the width of the shoe of the boot. I have a very wide foot. The boots I received seemed to me like a regular fit. I could barely get my foot into the boot. When I did it felt like my foot was being cut in two. They were so painful the first time I tried them, my feet hurt for three days before I dared to try them again. Again, it was very painful. I couldn't stand to do dishes without extreme pain. That's when I reluctantly decided to return them. If I had tried to go up a half size, the boots would have been way to long. Again, not comfortable.

Beautiful knee high boot

This run true to size and they fit amazing. I like all the options available to allow me to adjust these perfectly to my feet. This is my fit knee high boot & I'm impressed with them. They are well made and sturdy. They're easy to wear all day without any issues. They don't overheat my feet either. They stay at a comfortable temperature. Not made for wide feet

I honestly don't know how they advertise these as wide. My feet aren't even wide or atleast I never thought they were but I decided to give these a try figuring I can wear thick socks underneath. Nope! that's not possible however they fit over my calves nicely but they're just too tight at mid foot. I know it's not a matter of sizing because I can clearly feel them sliding off my heel a bit with about an inch of room in the front. I'm just hoping they stretch out a bit and the quality is decent but I honestly don't know if I'd want to spend $70 for a faux leather boot. The ties are cute in the back and I know I can definitely get a pair of pants under them but be aware that they are a narrow foot if that's an issue for you. They come with insert pads which is nice for an extra comfort addition.
