Built to Last: Comfortable Work Boot That Doesn’t Compromise on Durability
Built to Last: Comfortable Work Boot That Doesn’t Compromise on DurabilityI’ve been wearing the Wolverine Hudson boots on job sites and around the yard, and they strike a great balance between rugged durability and comfort. Out of the box, they felt solid but not overly stiff, which meant I didn’t have to suffer through a long break-in period. The leather upper has a nice, tough finish that stands up well to scuffs and abrasions, and the stitching looks reinforced in all the right spots.Traction is another standout. The sole grips well on concrete, dirt, and even slightly slick surfaces. I’ve had boots in the past that felt like skates on smooth floors, but these have a confident bite. The steel shank gives them structure, so even after hours on uneven ground, my feet don’t feel fatigued. Comfort is helped by the padded collar and cushioned insole—enough support that I can wear them through a 10-hour shift without needing to swap into sneakers at the end of the day.One thing to note: they’re a bit on the heavier side compared to casual boots, but that’s expected for this category. For me, the tradeoff is worth it, since that extra heft translates into stability and protection. Sizing felt true; I ordered my regular size and it fit just right with a medium-weight sock.Bottom line: A sturdy, reliable boot that blends comfort and toughness. If you’re looking for something that can handle daily use in industrial or construction settings without beating up your feet, the Wolverine Hudson is a solid pick.

Good shoe but laces are too long
Comfortable and durable. I got a half size too big. I wear a 12.5 so I got the 13 but I should’ve tried the 12-wide. Good shoe, the only thing I don’t like is how long the shoelaces are my goodness.

10/10 recommend
This is the third pair of these boots that I bought in the last few years as far as work boots go I would rate them a eight out of 10 for comfortability a seven out of 10 for durability and a nine out of 10 for slipper resistance you’re never gonna find a pair of boots that is 100% slip resistant, but these are really good. I work in a greasy environment and I don’t slip and slide unless it’s extremely Messy with 1010. Recommend these boots to anyone looking for an affordable pair of boots that are slipper, resistant and waterproof.

Nice shoes, lousy quality control.
Fits good on feet. Comfortable. But never in 60 years of buying shoes have I ever had 1 shoe string 6 inches longer than the other. How does that even happen? The long one is what is needed. Can't even tie a bow in the short string. One of the most ridiculous things I ever seen on a new purchase.

Not for me!
I usually wait awhile on products which need awhile to "break-in" or "wear." I noticed things immediately after taking them out of the box:1. HEAVY! No "hot weather" mid boot should be heavy! They're heavier than my all leather Red Wings.2. HOT!!!! These "vent" mesh areas are for looks. I live in the desert (AZ) & it's 70 degrees out in the winter & my feet were hot & sweaty & stinky after just a few hours.3. UNCOMFORTABLE! The 1/32" insole is a joke. I purchased a "breathable" gel comfort insole which made a world of difference, but now I feel the steel toe digging into my toes. Feeling around the steel toe, I can feel them. There is next to nothing separating your feet from the steel toe except your sock & a thin piece of material that holds the toe in place. So, I purchased wool socks because they are perfect for any weather & have good cushioning. YES! It saves my toes & keeps my feet dry. I do foresee summer 120 degrees being a huge issue with these boots regardless. In case you were wondering, sneakers I wear are 10.5, Red Wings are 10.5 EEE, these Wolverine's are 10.5 EEE.In troubleshooting, I would say a 1/2 size may help the steel toe issue a little, especially if you get a "high" supportive insole, but it won't fix their poorly crafted design & you'll have hot, sweaty, stinky feet no matter what. Sorry.
