Good quality
Great booy, laces that come with them suck. Keep coming untied...The boots themselves are a dream though. Like walking on a cloud and I'm a big boy... in a factory and very abusive to work boots... these are a dream...
So, I’d rate these five stars. They’re slip resistant, even on ice, snow, and wet concrete. The leather uppers are waterproof and the inside is lined well. Unless it’s ungodly cold outside, I don’t need to wear two pairs of socks. I haven’t tested the composite toes. I work around heavy machinery, but falling objects aren’t really a risk at my job. I haven’t seen if these boots can dissipate electricity, I don’t work as an electrician. I do appreciate the various ASTM ratings, which can be found on Wolverine’s website or on Overlook Boots. The reason I’m docking a star is because of the fit. They do run true to size, and if you’re on your feet all day, I’d recommend getting the wide size. But when I tie the laces all the way up the boot, the sides of the boot rub on my inner ankles. So unless I’m wearing a bunch of layers, it gets kind of painful.I’ve laced these boots tighter to see if that helps, but it doesn’t. My solution is to put on the boot, then flex my foot back towards my knee, which opens up the top. From there I lace them, and near the top I try not to go too tight. This usually helps. Tie them too loose and I have the same issue.I can’t really say much on the arch support since I have custom orthotics. Overall, these boots seem pretty durable. Nothing has worn thin, nothing has frayed, the Goodyear Welt is holding strong. Like any Goodyear Welted boot, the welt is not as waterproof as the leather uppers. I usually fix this by conditioning my boots with Obenauf’s Heavy Duty LP. That stuff resists water, chemicals, and soaks into the leather the more it’s exposed to heat. I figured if it’s good enough for firefighters, it’s good enough for me.These boots do take a bit to break in. It’ll be uncomfortable, expect it to take maybe a week or two with consistent use. Overall, boots of this quality for under $200? I’ll take it.
Awesome!!👍
Very good buy..
It's a big boot. If your a thin guy, your feet look really big.Well made, but a bit bulky.
