Best boot i have ever owned

Rarely do i leave reviews, but this boot has done so good by me that I had to come back to talk about it.Initially bought these as a work boot more a little more than a year ago, but was transferred to the office shortly after. At the beginning i would wear these when driving to the yard , then change into the daily beaters as they finished falling apart. They might have seen a week of field work when i was transferred.I began to wear them daily after that when i noticed how comfortable they where. I was expecting a heavy shoe since it has a composite toe, but i forgot it was there almost immediately. Very light. Super comfortable.I need to highlight how comfortable the boots are; I usually buy boots, expecting to make all kinds of alterations by adding insoles for the heel and the ball of the foot. I didn't need to do that with these boots. The first thing i thought when i tried this boot was got good the fit was; especially around the ankle. I sent back the oversized boot i bought to accommodate extra insoles and bought some fitted ones. I do remember some tiredness and aching at the beginning when breaking them in, but that's the case with any boot.I like the style and wear these with jeans, dockers or cargo shorts. Have taken them on trips as my go to.Durability has lasted more than a year already with every day use. I use them in different terrain like camping, on a night out, or traveling to mexico. I have used timberlands for about 20 years and keens for the last ten. This boot has outlasted both in everyday use. When they start to look too dirty, just grab a brush to knock off dust and some soap and water in the lighter colored areas. The pictures taken are on this day of the review and about a year and two months after purchasing. My toes usually are cold and they do feel that way at the moment since the temperature started to drop here in southern California. Warmth may vary depending on your internal temperature.I did step into a deceiving puddle of mud that looked like dirt and submerged my foot about 3 inches for a couple of seconds. I felt cold so thought the water had gone through but when I checked, I was completely dry. They seem to be waterproof at least for a couple of seconds.Only complaint is that the shoelaces do untie often but that can be remedied with a different lace, just haven't done it.I got them at a time with a 40% off deal. I was so impressed with the value for the money, that two months later bought a second pair as back up. I'm still on the first pair so maybe I'll get to use my second pair at the end of next year.

My favorite pair of boots

These are the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned. I am now on my fourth pair of boots. Each time I try to buy different boots from every other brand, and each time I return them and buy another pair of these. Very minimal break in period and extremely lightweight and comfortable to walk in. I work in the shipyards and these are exposed daily to oil, grease, dirt, saltwater and all sorts of chemicals and they hold up great. I climb vertical ladders and log plenty of miles on pavement/concrete carrying heavy tool bags and I have yet to have any knee/hip/ankle issues (which were the reason I swapped to these in the first place!). For 150ish bucks they are a great value! The only “con” I would list is the sole can split over time like any other wedge boot. But like any other thing in life that can require maintenance I just put some boot glue in the split and they keep on trucking. I recommend going up a half size for some extra toe room but that’s just me! (Typically an 11, but buy 11.5 with no issues).

Fantastic boots straight out of the box!

I have been wearing boots a long time in a heavy, commercial and industrial construction setting. my go-to boots have long been $300+ 8" steel toe wedge soles and have been very pleased with them. on a whim, I bought these to try something drastically different. Boy, they are different and I love it! I have never had such comfortable boots straight out of the box! They are light and durable, as expected, and don't even notice the reduced ankle support over 8" boots. I knocked a star off because I have had 400g insulated boots that weren't as hot as these! I don't think I can wear these when summer rolls around! they are about a half size large too, but that doesn't bother me much, as I don't like to jam my toes into the safety toe, just thought you might like to know.

My feet hurt so bad getting used to these.

The first 4-5 days of wearing these wear almost unbearable but I eventually got used to them and broke them in. Coming from the Keen Milwaukee boots I had before these were vastly less comfortable. They look cool which is what attracted me in the first place. Within a week of wearing them, the soles split were the bend takes place while you are kneeling or on your knees. See pics for clarification.Yes they are water proof, yes they looks good and yes they dont hurt to wear any more. I will be ordering a my third pair of Keen Milwaukees when these get retired which I'm guessing wont take but a year. Both pair of my previous keens lasted 2 years of near daily use in an industrial environment.

Great pair of boots

Awesome boots. No break in period. I put them on and brought an old pair in case i could t stand em for a whole work day and was impressed yet again. The 2nd pair ive owned. The first pair gave up after 3 years of use. I had to replace the insoles on the first pair to make em wearable but its just a part that wears out. The heel stayed intact and never blew out.

Boots are OK

Boots are just OK. There are plenty of better Wolverine boots you should consider before these.

Price, quality and comfort.

I personally don't spend alot of money on boots do to fast wear and tear. But I gave myself a chance with these. I will be giving a one month update from date of purchase. So far the boots fit like a glove I'm a 9.5 they are just a little stiff at the moment so I need to wear them and break them in. As far as I can tell and feel the craftsmanship on the boots is very high quality, boot fits snug yet gives you all the mobility needed at the ancle area when you drive. Very pleased so far.Almost 3 months after the arrival boots fit better I want to say break in period is about one month then the boots fit way better I don't even have to tie them. I got a 9.5 and and at first I though about returning them but I chose to give them a break in point and I was not disappointed. They fit better than ever. I will be giving a 1yr review.
