These are my go to boots.
I got a pair of these boots for free through work and love them. Like most boots, they take a week or so of all day wear to fully break in. They have good bend at the toe and some flexibility in the ankle. They have a nice, thick, rubber sole that gives support when walking or standing on hard flooring (mostly concrete for me). I have high arches, so I don't usually find shoes that I would consider as having "good" arch support. These don't support my arches like a good pair of running shoes, but they also support well enough for comfortable all day wear. I have longer toes and I find these have some a loose fit in the toe box - which I really like. I'm on my second pair of these and wear them when we go four wheeling in the mountains as well as when we take the street bikes out. The steel toe is nice for the shifter. The laces are about the right length that they don't tie really long and hang down, or have to wrap around the boot before being tied. My first pair easily lasted three years (being worn roughly 50% of the year) and are now my back ups. Highly recommend. Give them a chance to break in before you decide!

Great shoe for outdoor work
Sturdy, comfortable shoe. Sized correctly and has good insoles. Fits great even with thick, wool socks. I’m having to wear these outdoors as a park ranger so hopefully they are waterproof as advertised. Will probably get some mink oil just in case. Overall pleased with my purchase.

Really great boot in looks and comfort - Not waterproof
I like an awful lot about this boot and wanted to keep them but they're not waterproof.Great: They had great arch support and comfy soles all around. They have a composite toe instead of metal so I don't have to worry about water/electricity! One of the main reasons I tried them this year instead of Timberline The boot have a great design look too.Just ok: the ankles are high and uncomfortable for about a week till they broke in. Size they run a little big and I would have returned for a regular instead of wide if I didn't need new boots immediately because my old boots had come apart. Apparently the Wolverine wide is bigger than Timberlines wide which I've used the past 10-years but it was still proportional and felt alright and if they didn't leak I'd have just kept them.Bad: really disappointed they're not even close to waterproof. So even tho I don't expect to get a full refund because I did wear them for two weeks - I'm sending back because I wear my work-boots 45-60 hours a week and they need to keep my feet dry.

Love love love
Love these boots. Light weight and comfortable. After you break them in you'll get a little more room which happens within a week for me because I'm on my feet 8hrs a day or more

A Sturdy and Functional Choice
The Wolverine Women's Piper Waterproof Composite Toe 6" Construction Boot offers a balance of durability, comfort, and protection for those who need a reliable work boot. Designed with a waterproof leather upper, it helps keep feet dry in various conditions, while the composite toe provides safety without adding excessive weight. The boot features a cushioned footbed and supportive midsole, making it comfortable for long hours on the job. However, some users may find the break-in period slightly longer than expected. The tread provides solid traction, but on extremely slick surfaces, additional caution may be needed.Overall, this boot is a sturdy and functional choice for women in demanding work environments. While it may not be the lightest option available, it offers reliable protection and comfort for everyday wear.

Stocking retail with safe toes
I had quite a few requirements to meet for my work uniform. Black, non-fabric, non-athletic, high traction sole, preferred toe protection, and preferably appears to be a "polishable black shoe" under my black slacks. I do a lot of kneeling, crouching, and moving heavy storage racks while working with retail stock. The toe needs to stand up to some brutal wear, and so far so good. The toe box pinches when I kneel down and the ankle support rubs me raw, but I suspect that I just need to wear thicker boot socks while I wear these and I should probably dedicate more time to breaking-in. The leather buckles strangely across the top as I walk (maybe the leather needs some conditioning) and the shoe is rather wide and "clown-like" and I felt awkward walking in them at first. The shoe is not too wide on the inside, but rather wide across the sole and I had a few moments where my left foot was hitting both my brake pedal and my clutch pedal in my car, but this is a work shoe so I am completely ignoring my "cosmetic" grievances for this review. So far, this shoe is EXACTLY what I needed. Ankle support is superb, arch support is non-existent in the insole so if you're like me you will need to put in your own insert (there is plenty of room). I am between 8.5 and 9, and this time I ordered the smaller size; my toe comes really close to touching the front but the shoe fits. It does feel a bit roomy in the width but with thick socks this problem is naught. If I had ordered a 9 I'm sure that the shoe would have been too wide.
