Great shoes! Look even better on!
This is a great pair of shoes! If you like the style, I’m pretty confident that you will love these instantly!They seem pretty well-made and durable. I’ll have to see how they hold up over time, but so far nothing has made me concerned about them falling apart or anything.The chunky sole is sturdy but not super heavy, which is really nice. The black has that shine to it, but it’s not overly dramatic— you could wear them with some jeans or even dress them up a little more (either will look fantastic).The laces are more decorative than anything but even so, they don’t feel like they’re going to fall apart. Thats just how it is with this particular style of shoe—definitely not a complaint or anything, just figured it worth mentioning in case anyone is unfamiliar with the style. You can tie/untie them, but I wouldn’t count on them to be able to tighten things up much. They look really cute though, it’s always been one of my favorite things about this style.If you’re not used to wearing a chunky shoe, you may need some adjustment time, and might feel like you need to take little breaks from them between days, but really, they are some of the most comfortable I’ve had in this style.At first, despite the big chunky looking tread, they feel a bit slick on the bottoms.. but I think that will change with more use. And if not, I can just add some of the slip-resistant stickers or something. That being said, I’ve not felt any kind of unusually unsafe in them lolI’m anticipating them lasting quite awhile, even with regular wear. I have a feeling they may scuff kinda easily, but I’m hoping if that’s the case, it’s the kind you can just quickly buff away. And again, I just kinda expect that from this style, so it’s also no a complaint lol. Just trying to objectively cover all the bases, because I really do love them.The sizing seems spot-on and there’s no parts (for me, anyway) that dig-in or pinch or anything like that. My toes seem to have a decent amount of space, which I always appreciate. They are lighter weight than I was expecting but not in a bad way; I love that it doesn’t feel like I’ve been wearing bricks on my feet all day.Overall, these are awesome and I would recommend them to anyone that likes or is even mildly interested in the style. The price seems about what you’d expect nowadays and while I think everything is too expensive anymore, these are likely totally worth it lol

My info: Depending on shoe, I can wear anywhere from 7.5 to 8.5, depending on brand, but usually an 8 is perfect. The reviews seem a little scattered on this part, and it seems like I am gonna make that worse. I have a narrow ankle, but wide toe box- don't know if this affected the length for me or not, but it did pinch my toes and the part where my foot is wide was not very comfy after around 30 minutes. I hate saying that, as I love everything else about the shoes (you cannot exchange in vine or I would. I love them that much!). My personal opinion is to go up a half size.- Mine look very well made. They do have that hard feel of this kind of "leather", but I think that's on purpose. I don't see any glue marks or anything like that. No smell except for new shoes smell.- The bottoms feel like a heavy plastic? It has that appearance anyway (up close). Possible it could scratch, but it hasn't for me yet.- There is mild cushioning in the bottom.Just be aware. I have that size issue, so cannot use inserts, so I will be wearing them for short periods. I know I could get thru more hours than I could high heels tho.- I'd say the heaviness, to me is maybe akin to lighter hiking shoes.I do really like them. In the picks, I wanted to show how well they were boxed - gift worthy; plus showing how they'd be with either dress pants or "cute" socks.Even tho they don't fit me well, I still give 5 stars.(Having to lower a star- actually just a half star if I could. I thought the sizing was my fault, based on customers saying they are true to size. But I measured, and my foot is 9.5" long and toes box is around 3.3" wide. They should have fit more based on the measuring chart) Still liking them tho.)

It’s about style
I wore these shoes yesterday while I ran my errands. I have the brown ones, and I wore them with jeans, a button up shirt, and a brown blazer. Aside from the fact that I always appreciate a boost to my height (5’2” short girl here!), I noticed two main things:1. They look amazing! The style is perfect, the color is great, and I even got multiple compliments on them.2. When I got home, I needed to take them off and give my feet a rest. BUT, they were far more comfortable than I expected, and if I was accustomed to being on my feet more (like I used to be), they wouldn’t have bothered me at all.The fit is perfect. There’s no part that pinches, ribs, or interferes with comfort whatsoever. If they had a little bit more cushion in them, I could probably wear them all day without difficulty, even now. As they are, I wouldn’t have thought twice about a whole day in them before I developed joint issues.The finish is a perfect compromise between shiny and matte. It’s got a little bit of shine to it without being patent leather. And the Oxford style is one of the best for elevating without looking silly. It just lends itself to this chunky look while maintaining its elegance.My photos were taken after wearing them for the day of errands out and about. I was so eager to wear them that I forgot to take pics beforehand.
