Cute, comfortable, and cushiony!
The older I get, the more I value comfort in shoes, but it’s always a nice bonus when they’re cute too! These shoes are both, and I’m really happy with them. The leather is soft and flexible, so they’re easy to slip on and off, and the adjustable velcro strap keeps them secure. The matte black color is also nice and so far has resisted scuffing.The inside is wonderfully cushiony and my feet feel instantly good when I put them on. A lot of shoes lose that plush feeling once I start walking for long periods of time but these don’t. The padding holds up throughout the day and stays just as comfortable hours later.They also have great traction on the bottom. We mostly have hardwood and tile floors, and I haven’t had any slipping issues. They’re also quiet shoes and you barely hear them when walking, which isn’t necessarily important, but it’s kind of nice!The woven upper design is flexible and molds nicely to my foot. I have a wider foot, and there’s plenty of room. I ordered my usual size (8.5), and they fit perfectly with no tightness or toe crowding. I also have thinner ankles and sometimes get blisters from the heel gapping, but these fit snugly and haven’t caused any irritation.They’re listed as orthopedic, but don’t let that label fool you because they are genuinely cute! I’d describe them as orthopedic in comfort only, not in style. They pair easily with jeans or casual pants, and I think they are both work and errand appropriate.Overall, these are comfortable, well-made, and versatile shoes that I can see myself reaching for a lot.

Cute, Comfy, and Surprisingly Stylish

These are adorable and comfortable. They came without a box but they were securely wrapped in a plastic drawstring bag and they came with a red cloth bag for storage.Looks: They are adorable. They are Mary Janes but they also have a T Strap look because of the strappy styling on top. I think there is a Horseshoe Theory in fashion where things that are not trying to be cute end up circling around to being very cute. These shoes are just trying to be flat clodhoppers that you could stick orthopedic inserts into. But they ended up being adorable. With the rubber soles and visible stitching they could almost pass for a budget version of Docs or Solovairs. They would be at home with an alt, goth or grunge look.Leather: They are real leather but it is fairly thin and very pliable. The rubber soles will probably outlive the uppers.Strap: This is a simple strap with two sections of velcro. The velcro pads are sewn on not glued. Some shoes have a loop or a larger velcro strip to make them more adjustable. I don't think these have as much of a range for adjustability as other models. The velcro is really thin with a low pile and I am worried it might lose grip over time. These might otherwise be good as walking shoes because they are very comfortable. But because the velcro seems week I would not recommend them for walking long distances or exercise.Comfort: They are extemely confortable with rubber soles, padded insoles and moderate arch support.Sizing: I wear a 6 1/2 Wide and in shoes without that option I get a 7 Regular. These are very confortable with my wide feet and high instep. That makes me wonder if these might not be a good fit for people with narrow feet and/or a regular instep. These shoes have a fairly wide, short, squarish shape. As far as having a high instep I often have trouble finding Mary Janes or boots that fit. If there is a buckle I usually use the last hole. These fit perfectly with the velcro pad perfectly aligned and that is unusual for me. The pliability of the leather might help though. So I would definately recommend these to people with wide feet and/or a high instep....but for others I am not so sure.

I bought these as a joke for a Halloween costume, as I planned to be a 100 year old grandma. Joke's on me! They're actually extremely comfortable! I used them for the costume event and found myself changing outfits and keeping the comfy shoes.I was planning on donating to goodwill, but my 80 year old neighbor saw them and when I say "her eyes glowed" it's an understatement!
