Super lightweight, comfortable, and great grip!
I've been really impressed with these hiking shoes. The first thing I noticed after putting them on was how incredibly light they are compared to others. The last thing I need when doing a long trek is extra weight on my feet, not a problem with these. They also provide a lot of cushion inside, which made them incredibly comfortable to walk in, whether I was hiking or not.I live in the Pacific Northwest, which is known for its rainy weather. What comes with rainy weather is slippery ground, especially during the autumn when leaves fall off the trees and carpet the ground. It may look pretty but as soon as they get wet they become incredibly slick and can cause a fall easily. Since I'm outdoors a lot year round, both for work and play, I've found hiking shoes and trail runners are the best way to stay steady during the wet part of the year. These will be perfect. When you look underneath you'll see it's covered in grip, and not just raised areas, but actual GRIP. It's shaped in a way that will actually hold from different angles. As someone who's naturally a bit clumsy I appreciate all the help I can get to stay upright. This helps when it's slippery and wet, but also when it's dry but the surface isn't quite steady. Trying to hike uphill on very dry dirt with little rocks and sticks all moving below your feet can be tricky without good grip, but these shoes have you covered.I've worn them out in the Oregon rain and my feet stayed completely dry. I'm also happy to say they don't trap heat, as my feet run hot anyway so that can be an issue with some hiking shoes. These will be great for all seasons, hot or cold, and they're built to last.I also have to mention how great looking they are, something I can't often say about hiking shoes. The black-grey will hide dirt well but it a really nice color on its own, and the peachy-salmon accent color pairs with it perfectly. I'm always nervous about sizing but these fit perfectly. I'm usually an 8.5 or 9 depending on the shoe, leaning more toward 9 in many cases. I got the 9 and it's just right and gives me just enough extra space to wear thicker socks if I'm going to be out in the cold.I couldn't be happier with these. They're great looking, lightweight, durable, keep my feet dry without overheating them, and have incredible grip that makes me feel steady on any ground. Very highly recommended.

Exceptional High Quality, Best Hiking Shoes I Have Ever Owned
These hiking shoes are truly impressive! This is the third pair of hiking boots and shoes I have from this company and each time bar none, the quality is consistently incredible with every pair. Likewise, I could instantly see and feel the exceptional quality of this pair of CMP Rigel Women's Low Hiking Shoes right out of the box. The shoes provide stability and support I have never had before in a shoe. I actually had a little trouble first getting my foot into the shoe because the support is truly amazing. I ran long distance for many years. I sprained my ankle several times when I would hit a hole or dip in the ground and my foot and ankle would fold over to the side. Now I have a weak ankle because of it. There is nothing worse than being miles from home, and you have to walk back on a sprained ankle. These shoes provide support when I hike or walk on my mountain property, so I know if I hit a dip in the ground or a stone, my foot will stay secure in this shoe which in turn provides support to my ankle. I also have a mountain spring that comes down my mountain and there are slippery rocks. The traction on these shoes provides a secure grip so I don't have to worry about slippery rocks when I walk my dog through the ravine during rainy seasons.I ordered a 7.5 size shoe. The shoes are a perfect fit. They are light weight, breathable shoes and so comfortable I don't know I have them on.On top of being rugged trail, hiking shoes, they are so cute and stylish! I absolutely love the design and black/gray with (Antracite-sunrise) coral colors of these shoes. I didn't want to go into the wet area of my yard and get them muddy just yet when they are brand new. So I ran them under the water faucet in the house to test them, to see if they are waterproof. Even with the heavy stream of water from the kitchen faucet, the water rolled right off the top of the shoe. The shoes were completely dry on the inside, and they are 100% waterproof. These are the best hiking shoes I have ever owned. I am beyond happy with the CMP Rigel Women's Waterproof Hiking Shoes and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Solid hiking shoes with a few small downsides
I’ve been using these CMP Rigel hiking shoes for a few weeks now, and overall I’m happy with them. They feel supportive and sturdy, and the waterproof feature actually keeps my feet dry on damp paths. The suede material is soft but durable, and the sole grips well enough for most trails I’ve been on. The shoe is beautifully designed and I love the color combination. They’re comfortable for shorter hikes, but after several hours I start to notice a little fatigue in my feet. The ankle area is stable, but I wish it had slightly more padding for extra comfort on longer hikes. Also, they are a bit stiffer than I expected, which makes them feel a little less nimble than some other trail shoes I’ve worn. I also feel the toe box is too small or the show is overall too narrow. I probably should have sized up a half of size.Overall, they do the job and feel reliable for everyday hiking, just not my first choice for long or very rugged trails. Solid shoes, just a few minor trade-offs.
