A Rare Find: Knee-High Boots That Fit My Cycling Calves
This review is for the TEAIEUI Women’s Knee-High Chunky Heel Faux Leather Boots (Black, Size 9).I’m really happy with these boots. I live in the PNW and bought them for fall outfits. I sized up from my usual 8.5 to a 9 so I can comfortably wear socks underneath. That choice worked perfectly—they fit well in the footbed, and the toe box is roomy without feeling loose.What surprised me most is how well these boots fit over my larger cycling calves, which is something I usually struggle with in tall boots. These zipped up easily and felt comfortable all day. The faux leather has a sleek look, and while it isn’t truly stretchy, the overall cut allowed for a good fit on my wider calves.The lining is soft, and the chunky heel feels stable and easy to walk in. I wore them for a normal teacher work day (several hours) my first time and had no issues with rubbing or pressure points. For a tall heeled boot, they feel very balanced and don’t throw off my center of gravity, even on longer wear.These are definitely fashion boots rather than weatherproof boots—perfect for fall outfits, dresses, and jeans, but not meant for true PNW rain or muddy conditions. These knee high boots are a good option for the fall and winter months and parallel with skirts, dresses and leggings.Pros:- the block heel sits at the back of the soul. This keeps the look of the boot sleek and modern. The black heel itself is also wide, which I prefer the look of.- comfort- I did opt to size up to the size that I wear for tennis shoes to ensure that I have enough room to wear socks and I’m glad that I did. There is plenty of room for my toes not to feel cramped and I do find the boot to run comfortable this way.Cons:- the shaft of the boot is quite roomy. It in fact sags a little bit at the ankle on me, which creates some additional width that I don’t like the look of. Maybe this would be a benefit for some, but with it being a wider fit boot, I would want the boot to stay upright.- the interior of the shaft is a little scratchy, where the insulation and the top of the boot meet.With the width of the shaft, being a little bigger than I expected, I will have to wear the boots with shorter dresses and skirts, but the overall look of the boot is appealing. And I’m pleased that they are comfortable.

Very Well Done and Attractive Boots : )
I love boot season! I've been collecting way too many pairs of black and brown boots lately in my quest to find the perfect Fall and Winter boots, and these are definitely one of the best options I've tested so far. Honestly, most of the boots nowadays look visually attractive, as do these, so it really comes down to the details for me. These are sized quite well - I wear an 8.5 but always size up in new brands of boots to a 9 to adjust for fit, plus I like to wear thick fuzzy socks, and these fit very nicely and comfortably.I likewise found these particular boots quite easy in which to walk, lending credit to the heel stability and overall functional design of the boots. They are balanced well, meaning they don't throw my center of gravity off by much, which is what I personally feel determines their comfort to me after longer wear. The soles are likewise comfortable. I have really skinny legs, so the boot opening is a bit big on me, but that is the case with most boots nowadays. I would suggest they are adequate for wider legs, but I may actually be disproportionately small enough that my comparison may not be adequate. They look a little big on me, but they ill likely fit most people quite fine.Overall, I think the quality and aesthetic appeal of this particular pair of boots is high. At their current price point of ~$80, their value is fair, though this is a really competitive market in footwear, so this product would be much more competitive if it came down a little bit in price. I do think it's a superior boot amongst the dozens upon dozens I've tried, and I've become a person reluctant to rate most boots over about $60 with 5 stars unless they're truly without complaint or criticism from me, which is rare. This pair is one of those rare, really-really good boots that just do everything right and look great in the process. These are highly recommended, lovely black boots. : )
