Buy the shoes

I bought these for Christmas party for work, and also, because in the future, I would like to take Latin and ballroom dancing classes. The fit is true. A size. I am an 8 1/2 in most standard shoes, and I have a wider foot. After reading reviews, I ordered an 8 1/2 and it fit perfect. Usually I have to size up for dress shoes because they are always too tight. This was not the case with these shoes.Keep in mind. The soles are made of a felt, or suede like material. They are not hard soles. I learned this the hard way because it was raining outside. But that’s OK. I walked into the venue barefoot to avoid getting the shoes wet. As for the night they were glorious. They are super comfy and my feet did not hurt at all after hours of dancing. And bonus the material meant that I wasn’t slipping all over the floor. They held up super well and still look brand new. The color went really well with the dress that I wanted. And the buckle was easy to figure out. I would definitely buy more of these shoes in different colors in the future. I will see how they hold up with future dance classes.

Good quality, price, and fit compared to similar shoes

I’ve been trying to find good shoes for dancing Samba, and these hit the mark almost perfectly.I usually wear shoes in sizes US 6-7 and ordered a size 6, which fit true to size.I ordered a pair of heels very similar to these from Dance & Sway, but they felt much flimsier and the areas where the straps are attached under the felt sole were very pronounced. In these heels, the bumps are almost unnoticeable in comparison.The outer sole is great quality. It feels very sturdy and unlikely to separate from the base of the heel. It’s also less flimsy than other latin dance heels i’ve seen (including the aforementioned pair).I also really like that the bottom of the sole has a cut out where you can thread the ankle strap, whereas on some other latin heels you just wrap the strap across the bottom and hope it stays in the same place.I don’t love the outer material—it’s a shiny plastic-y material. I would’ve liked them even more if they were made of leather, but it’s not a big deal. The inner material is a soft and comfy felt, and the inner sole is padded, so they’re quite comfy.In the pictures, the inner heel appears more padded than it actually is. I found that the shoe feels a little looser on the back of my heel than I’d like, but there are no major gaps so I’m confident they’ll stay snug enough.This is my first time buying heels to dance in, so I feel quite wobbly moving in them, but I think that’s a me-problem for now and I just need to get used to them.The clasp was missing the gems on both shoes like other reviewers mentioned, but again it’s not the end of the world for me. I will just buy some crystals and glue them in myself if I felt so inclined.Overall, for the price point these are the best latin dance heels I’ve found online. I’d give them a 4.5/5 if I could.
