Not a dancer but a lover of heels
I am not a professional dancer at all but I am no stranger to heels and heard about how comfortable dance shoes allegedly are. Given this information, I’ve been wanting to try a pair to see for myself. Right off the bat, I loved that the strap looped through the bottom of the shoe- I feel that this added support and made me feel secure that the shoe wasn’t going anywhere. I did really enjoy the nonslip insole as I tend to have sweaty feet (ew) and, in normal sandals, my foot tends to slide but the suede material prevented this. They are definitely much lighter than normal shoes and bend with your foot. They have padding in all the places normal heels can hurt your feet. Overall, I did find them to be much more comfortable than regular heels. The downsides for me are that they can be a little difficult to put on and take off- they close by tucking the buckle into a clip. When taking them off, the opening is very small so if you tied the shoes snug (which I want to do because I don’t want the shoe to move), it’s difficult to get it out of the small opening. I also found them to be a little wobbly and, as I mentioned, I’m no stranger to heels. Also, I realize these are specifically for dance but the listing says they can be used for special occasions and such (this is my intended use)- for that, I’m not sure the suede sole would survive concrete or floors of that nature.Overall, they are very beautiful shoes and I do find them to be extra comfortable. I think I’m going to have to take up ballroom dancing though lol
