Comfortable, casual loafers!
I got a chance to try these on, and honestly, this style of shoe isn’t something I’ve really invested in before. But as I’m getting older, I’ve started to appreciate flatter shoes with little to no heel as they’re just so much more comfortable, and I can wear them for longer periods of time while keeping things casual. I decided to try a loafer with no elevation to see what I thought, since some flat shoes can be rough on my feet if they don’t have enough cushion, arch support, or heel padding.I ordered my usual size, 8½, and surprisingly, they fit perfectly. They weren’t too tight or too loose, and my toes had plenty of room. The only thing is that they’re a little tricky to get on at first because of the longer front, you kind of have to slide your foot in and then pull up on the back. However, once they’re on, they fit like a glove. They don’t slip when I walk, and I don’t feel any rubbing at all.I tried them without socks and immediately noticed arch support, which was a pleasant surprise. They don’t feel flat or hard underfoot, and there’s enough cushion to make them comfortable for walking around the house. Even though the sole isn’t thick, I didn’t feel the hard flooring, and they didn’t cause any back discomfort like some completely flat shoes do.I really like the all-black design. It looks more expensive than it actually is, and you honestly wouldn’t know they aren’t real leather. The only thing I’d change is that I wish the sole looked a little more upscale, maybe a bit thicker, but I do appreciate that it’s flexible and comfortable.Overall, there’s nothing flashy about these loafers, they’re understated and simple, but they look nice, feel supportive, and didn’t cost much. They don’t look or feel cheap at all. I’ll definitely wear them with casual outfits, and I think they’ll be easy to dress up a bit with the right clothes or accessories to give them a more polished look.
