Love these water shoes!
These water shoes conform to my feet well. The size is very accurate. I am a size 7- 7.5 so i decided to get size 7. They fit perfect and still with room to move my toes. There is a cusioned band along top of foot and they have a softer rubber sole which makes them flexible and comfortable to walk in. I find that there is a good amount of gripping on sole as well and the mesh along the top keep feet cool. I have a bunion on my right foot and it's hard to find shoes of any kind that doesn't irritate it. These feel wonderful on, because they are wider width with plenty of room for my toes. They feel more like a comfortable slipper. I also love the adjuster at the heel to make them tighter or looser. I Have not tried them in the water yet, but I'm sure they will be great. They're so comfortable I'll probably wear them the whole vacation. I definitely recommend these to anyone with feet problems or wider feet. They are perfect for the price.

Perfect for what I needed
I bought these for a trip to Playacar Mexico. I knew we would be climbing through caves and rivers. They are a bit on the wide side at the front. But, they have a band at the back to sinch them tight. I was able to swim with them on.I normally wear a 71/2 and bought a 7. Worked out perfect for what I was looking for. If you are looking for a shoe with a lot of support or walking a lot. This isn't a shoe for you. Tubing, water sport, water sock. Great shoe!

Good shoes, but need to be reinforced
I followed the advice of other reviewers for these shoes. Make sure to soak them and take the inserts out, and then glue them in well. Then they are great shoes. After I did this the size, comfort and look was perfect. They are lightweight and perfect for kayaking.

UPDATE! Prepare to lose your insoles immediately-UNLESS YOU DO THIS!
NEW UPDATE IN 2017 (2 YEARS LATER)I've had these over 2 years now. The company did such a disservice on this product by simply using the wrong glue. Here's my advice:Buy the shoes-knowing it will take a few extra dollars and a little work to make them the best, longest lasting water shoes ever.First soak the shoes overnight in water. The insoles will come out. They did not use water-proof glue (how stupid).Remove the insoles and let everything dry completely.Coat the insoles liberally with clear Shoe Goo. Clamp it all tightly together (or just put under something really, really heavy. Let them sit for as long as possible-at least overnight. Let them sit for a couple weeks longer if you can to fully cure. (I have no ideal how long it will take since it was a couple months until I needed them.BAM! They are now 5 star shoes!Seriously, I've put them thru the wringer-salt water, clear water, chlorinated water...walking for hours on sandy beaches, rocky shores, shores full of sharp shells, and hot asphalt parking lots. They fit perfectly since you can use the tie to snug them up and they are very comfortable.I've yet to find another pair that looks good, feels good, protects my feet, stays on while swimming, and doesn't fall apart....let me know if you have because with the new glue-they're perfect.SIZE 9B (M) I have weird feet-I always need extra wide or it's feels like my toes are smooshed together. If it wasn't for my fat, weird feet, I'd probably wear a woman's 8 1/2 gym shoe. These were perfect in size since the mesh stretches and the tie allows you whatever snugness you need.************UPDATE********************As noted in my original review below, the soles immediately came off and I was so disappointed! I cleaned them very well (sand and old glue residue). I let them dry completely. I used Shoe Goo, Clear (available on Amazon for $6) and followed directions to reattach my insoles. I let them sit for months (it was the end of Fall). This last week, I dug them out and decided to give them a try. It was a week of my out-of-town relatives visiting, so the got used every day for hours on end, in fresh and salt water, thru deep sand, over rocks, and across parking lots. I abused them. They held up thru it all and I'm now in love with these shoes!! The only problem I had was on one shoe the little material that covers the sole has peeled a little by my toes, but that's no biggie at all...I'll probably just end up tearing it off.Why the manufacturer does not use water proof glue, I have no ideal. It seems like it would be a no-brainer to me...otherwise these would be 5 star shoes!!! smdh As it is, they will not earn any extra stars-2 is the best they will get from me. $12 for the shoes, $6 for the glue. I would have gladly paid $18 for these if they would have used the right glue in the beginning!Anyway, I'm sure you can find better shoes, but I am now in love with mine!PROS-They look great! They fit great! (I ordered size 9 B-I have wide width feet and vary between 8 1/2 wide and 9 wide depending on the shoe and these fit perfect. They are a little loose, but the little pull tab in the bag snugs them up perfectly.)They stayed on my feet perfectly when swimming in the ocean. They protected my feet from rocks/shells/etc and I had great traction with them.CONS-I got in the water and had to get right back out for something (3 minutes tops I was in the water). Immediately the insoles glue dissolved and the insole began bunching up. All day long I dealt with them bunching up and having to put them back in place. UGH.These five star shoes went to two stars because of this HUGE FLAW.The manufacture is completely aware these will be in the water, so why would they not use water proof glue?!! Or better yet, just make the soles rubber thicker/more comfortable in order to eliminate the need for the soles at all??This is such a huge deal because they could be the best ever water shoes! I will not return these-I really like them. Instead, I will find my own water-proof glue and fix the manufacturers mistake. I'm leaning toward Shoe Goo (Supposedly waterproof, so if the shoe is immersed in water, the glue will not dissolve and release the insole. It is supposed to dry to a waterproof, flexible rubber, so it will repair waders and boots without breaking or cracking.) or Barge All Purpose Rubber Cement (Also supposedly waterproof, so that direct contact with water or excessive amounts of moisture will not cause insoles to become loose and it claims to be long-lasting.) ***Note-Some reviewers say that they have changed the formula and to stay away from the kind that is "toluene free" (that it's as bad as Elmer's brand) and to get the original formula in the yellow/red can-not the blue tube.I will try to remember to post an update as soon as I can do it and test it. If I haven't in a few weeks-comment/ask a question of me ;)

Developed Long-Term Feet Problems From These Water Shoes
Looks: GoodFunction: WORSTFit: Good - I read reviews and ordered a half size smaller than what I normally wearI bought these for a long beach walk this September to protect my feet from sharp shells. The walk is 3 miles total on the beach - 1.5 miles each way to and from the end of the state park beach that is at the tip of the island. By the time I got to the end of the island (1.5 miles) my arches were a little tender and I took my shoes off to go swimming. I noticed wear parts of on my arches of my feet. The location where the sole meets the mesh was rough and was perfectly located to rub my arches raw. We got out the water and walked a mile and a half back to our rental house and that's when it got real bad. The wounds got deeper with each step but I didn't want to take the shoes off bc I wanted to protect the soles of my feet from sharp rocks and shells. Salt water, rocks, and sand were now compacted inside my deep wounds and were held in by the shoes. In order to take pressure off my arches I walked with all of my weight on the outside of my foot. I couldn't walk the entire next day because it was so painful (what a waste of a beach house). You really can't tell from these pics how deep my wounds were and how I my feet oozed pus for 2 weeks afterwards through all my socks.Three months later and I can barely stand for longer than an hour and walking more than 2 blocks gives me a great deal of pain, which I never had before wearing these shoes. Now I wish I would have just gone barefoot. It doesn't look like many of the other reviewers had this experience, and perhaps it is because I walked a long distance in them, but this was my experience. These shoes may be fine for light swimming, but I'd really strongly suggest that people do NOT wearing these for long walks.
