Warmest boots ever!!
These are the most comfortable and warmest boots I have ever worn while working outside with my horse. The fit great and the quality is exceptional. For an English rider you can’t really ride in them due to the style however for working around the barn they are amazing and would highly recommend them.

Great for winter trail riding
These started out a little stiff but broke in fairly easily. Comfortable and keep my feet and legs toasty.

Terrible footbed!!
These are so cheaply made. I like the look and the features, but as soon as I set my foot down inside the boot I said "nope, nope NO! They are made like some cheap Chinese made shoes I've gotten. There is no "sole" inside. It's a completelely molded inside footbed--no flat part for your foot to stand on. The inside is completely rounded on all sides--like putting your foot intoa sphere. I feel like they are made for Chinese women's who have had their feet bound and now only have rounded stubs. Human feet are not bean shaped. Cheap and awful for your feet. And similar to the Highlander style, they are very tight inside--vertically--from toe to sole there is very little room, no matter what size you get so your foot is always feeling squeezed. And there is like 1/4" of sole between you and the ground so it feels almost like you are in barefoot shoes. The stupid cheap "faux fur" fuzz flattens down after two wearings and then there is zero padding or support. Can I say anything else bad about them?????

Good insulated boot
Update 2024:boots still going strong. I've worn these boots every winter (nearly daily use) through muddy pastures, daily rides, farm work, etc, and they are still water proof and warm. With wool socks, they have been warm enough for very cold weather (negative temps).Easy to walk in, comfy to ride in. Nicely insulated. Good down to about 25F. Below that, they are not warm enough. Of course, below that, the horse probably isn't comfortable working.

Fits my needs
Wore this boot for the first time yesterday and it fits my needs. I was looking for a boot in a little bit lighter weight than a Muck boot and this is it. Because it has laces you can adjust the sizing quite nicely to accommodate thicker socks and jeans (Wranglers). I slipped them on without unzipping, just with loose laces and it worked well. Warm and appropriate enough for the terrain I worked in yesterday (mud and cow manure). Lightweight enough that I could do short spurts of running and fit nicely into a Western saddle stirrup. I think this will be a good transition boot.Couple of reasons I gave it three stars: No real ankle support, no heel shank for spurs(I used them for horseback riding), and the boot is fairly heavy if you have to walk(which I also had to do). I am also not convinced that the zipper will hold up, so I am thrilled about the lace-up option.
