I ordered these Women’s Wide Diabetic Shoes (size 39) for my mother-in-law, and overall, she’s very pleased with them. She says they are extremely soft, lightweight, and easy to put on thanks to the hook-and-loop straps that provide a secure, snug fit. The insole is plush and supportive, and the wide toe box allows natural toe splay, which helps with circulation and reduces fatigue during walking. The zero-drop sole promotes good posture, and the breathable material keeps her feet dry and comfortable all day. After wearing them around the house and on short walks for a few days, she broke them in easily and now feels quite comfortable in them—no rubbing or pressure points. However, even in her usual size 39, her big toe slightly protrudes at the front, as you can see in the attached photo. It’s not a major issue due to the soft materials, but it’s noticeable. Additionally, the connection between the sole and the upper material isn’t the neatest—there’s some visible glue and uneven stitching in places, which is also shown in the photos. That said, the quality is impressive for the incredibly low price. Shoes with these features (wide fit, zero-drop, adjustable straps, and diabetic-friendly design) are hard to find at this cost anywhere else. The price-to-quality ratio is excellent. If these were priced higher, I probably wouldn’t give more than 3 stars due to the minor fit and finishing issues, but at this budget level, they deserve 4 stars. Highly recommend for casual wear, light activity, or anyone needing affordable, comfortable wide shoes.
Run small. I normally wear an 8. I sized up to a 9 to allow for socks. I tried these on barefoot and my toes are crammed into the front. I'm going to have to send these back. I do like them. The soles are very flexable and the sole inside is well cushioned. Feels like memory foam. I also love the velcro easy closure on both sides. I love sneakers but hate shoe laces. These would have been perfect if they were true to size. They look like they would survive being machine washed too. The toe box is roomy. The only problem is the shoe is too short length wise. I may try again with a bigger size. These though are definitely going back.
These shoes will never be confused for dress shoes, but they are comfortable and true to size. They are a zero-drop design, meaning they have no heel cushioning and no arch support. They remind me of walking barefoot (my preferred state of being). The soles are a flexible rubber-like material and are durable enough for being outside. The uppers are a very breathable, slightly stretchy fabric. The only thing I don't love is the closure. It is velcro on both sides of the "tongue" so you can open the top of the shoe for your foot. It is a good idea, especially if your diabetic feet are a little swollen or sore. The downside is the velcro itself. You have to be very careful to keep your socks from getting snagged. It might have been better if the "hook" part of the velcro was on the top flap where you can fold it out of the way. But it is not enough of a problem for me to stop wearing these.
These are comfortable; easy to put on shoes. They do not run large. I wear a 7 and they JUST fit. They run a bit small. I take out the insert and put my own Dr. Scholl’s inserts in, so that makes them comfortable, with more arch support for me. The shoes do come with a nice dick pad inser. I suggest you buy the size up so you can have room to change out the insert if you like.. These shoes come in two colors, I got the gray. Nice to have options so I don’t wear the same shoes every day, to give my feet a change. They can be born with or without socks as you can see in my photo. They do have wide velcro but it sticks out a little, on each side. This does not impede walking when wearing them. I wore them all around the house vacuuming and everything with no problems. The wider velcro keeps them closed so they don’t pop open, so they support the foot. I like that they do have grip on the bottom so I don’t slip. Really good value for shoes that are easy to put on: wash and wear! Recommend.
This are really comfortable for my feet while I have diabetes and neuropathy. They are very wide and take a little while to get used to from your view as they feel like clown shoes since I'm not used to wide shoes. For that reason, I would prefer them in a darker color like black. Other than that, I've very happy with these shoes.
While I am not diabetic. after a 12 hour workday on my feet, I appreciate comfort as much as the next person. These shoes are incredibly soft and bendable. They are also lightweight and breathable. So comfy that I would love to wear them everywhere.Absolutely great value for the price.
