Excellent Well-Made Walking Shoe!
Well made. Great arch support. Definitely non-slip for dry and wet surfaces. Reflective features. Excellent walking shoe!My profile: 5 feet 5 inches (165 cm) height; 146 pounds (66 kg)Construction: sturdy, great stitching, extra protection on the toe box and heels. No chafing on the heels. Flat laces. Reflective features on the front and heel. The insole is removable and has a hard plastic support for the arch (usually recommended by chiropractors). My floor is creaky but the shoes were not.Design: True carbon black. It has a nice reflective loop on the top of the heel that you can use to help put the shoe on or to hang it either after washing or to clip it to a backpack. When I run my fingers on the bottom sole, the tread feels rubbery and fully non-slip. Tread design looks better for non-slip properties compared to other similar shoes. I didn’t like the gray plastic support guard on the outside and would have preferred it to be a black color. Overall, it’s a nice, sporty design.Comfort: Feels comfortable to walk in. It seems to have a natural slight “cradle” rocking effect when I was walking in them, meaning it’s not fully flat but helps support the walking motion. I am a true Women’s size 9 medium width. The fit was perfect, and the toe box felt great. It’s at the higher end of the price range I would pay for a walking shoe at $56, but definitely worth it since it seems to be well made. I would liken it to the quality of Asics shoes.I can easily see these shoes lasting 10-15 years with light use or 7-10 years with heavier use. For reference, I worked in the world of patents and product design for many years.
