Ideal for kitchen and other service work
In our family wide feet are the bane of our existence, rarely finding shoes that actually fit for either my husband or myself. These work shoes by FINKOKO have an extra wide toe box with plenty of room, and a fitted heel. There is a removable insole with low arch support and the shoes have a flat, semi-firm, resilient footbed. They have enough depth to accommodate orthotics for additional support for those with high or sunken arches. These shoes have an EVA+TPR outsole that feels supportive, but not cushy. The sole provides a solid grip on floors, and the shoe has a snug instep that feels secure and comes threaded with elastic shoelaces. They also come with an extra set of long shoelaces if needed to adjust the lacing style to fit a higher or lower instep. The faux leather is waterproof, but note that the flexible mesh fabric on the sides of the FK02 model could allow water to seep through. The mesh also provides breathability and a bit of stretch for bunions or other foot oddities. The FK01 model does not have the mesh.I ordered the FK02 style in 12W and they fit my husband right out of the box. His normal USA size is 11-½ Wide but sometimes needs the 12W for extra room at the toe, depending on the style of the shoes. Many, if not most, shoes taper to a very shallow depth at the toe, effectively reducing their size for people with hammer toes, ingrown toenails, or toes that curl in any way. No worries about that with these shoes. These work shoes have a utilitarian style and are solid black, making them more versatile than most black sneakers that have colored trim or soles that limit them to informal wear, but these could suffice for dressier attire in a pinch. No steel toes nor other heavy duty safety features on these so not appropriate for all types of work, but they are certainly ideal for kitchen and other service work. They are light weight and flexible providing comfort and agility for the wearer. There are no nasty odors nor noticeable petrochemical smells wafting off the shoes or shoebox. Modestly priced at $59.99, these work shoes are a great value especially with the current discount coupon bringing them down to $47.99. While not designer quality, they are well constructed and good quality for the price.I’m going with 5 stars to support this company for making a quality product that accommodates wide feet by default and for accurately describing their product including photographs of the shoes being worn by men, not superimposed on somebody’s feet in a fake scene like so many sellers do these days. Thank you FINKOKO!My notoriously picky husband loves these shoes. I can’t even begin to say how many pairs of new shoes have been sent back over the years. These are the keepers!
