Wife likes them

I got these for my wife because she wanted a pair of steel toe boots. She likes these but they're harder to put on than other boots she owns as there is no zipper, just stretchy parts on the sides. However, she is able to get them on and they're fairly comfortable. Each boot has two tabs you can pull on when putting them on. She normally size 9 for shoes but 9.5 boots and wearing thick socks, and these 9.5 size boots fit ok, but will probably get better when the break in more. The steel toe part is very solid and there are is no give when you press down on it, so it should really protect her from stubbing her toes. The tread is also very good.

Giving these 5 stars with a few caveats. VERY nice boots!

Giving these 5 stars with a few caveats. These are very nice boots! Great thick soles. Nice feeling vegan leather. I got these for walking my dogs outside as we come into fall/winter. The non-slip will hopefully help a bit but we shall see as the weather turns. My caveats are these are pretty tight right out of the box. I got a size 8 but probably could have used an 8W or half size up. They should stretch a bit with use, but that will be tbd. My other caveat is if your feet are wide like mine the top may pinch a bit when you walk or bend down. I see this resolving as they break in so I'm not removing any stars for this at this point. Maybe keep these two things in mind when ordering. Size up and/or get the wide. I do really like the dual finger holes to pull these on. Most boots only have the one in the back and it doesn't work as well. Having one on front and back is great! I'll come back after I've worn these a while and update my review.

Mixed experience with comfort and durability

I ordered the Xena Workwear "Valence" SD Steel Toe Women's Chelsea Work Boots in a size 7 wide, which is my usual size. The fit is fairly accurate overall, but the toe box isn’t truly wide. My feet are wide at the toes and narrower at the heel, so my pinky and ring toes felt cramped, which led to a couple of blisters. On the plus side, the soles are grippy and slip-resistant. I work in an office setting but walk to work on both paved and cobblestoned streets, and the traction held up well. The steel toe plate adds noticeable weight, making these boots heavier than a standard pair. Because the plate doesn’t flex, walking isn’t very comfortable, and my toes felt pinched when pushing off.I also question the quality of the leather. The uppers scuffed after only a few hours of wear, and the soles showed marks after a single day in the office. At $204, I’m undecided. While they have some positives, the drawbacks stand out more for me. I can’t confirm whether the steel toe plates are OSHA compliant, but I did read that under extreme pressure they could pose risks, which is concerning. That said, since I don’t work in construction or industrial manufacturing, that point may not matter as much for my needs.3.75 stars. I wouldn’t recommend these unless you work in industrial manufacturing and want a more polished-looking steel toe boot. In a construction zone, they’d get beat up pretty quickly.

Very nice steel toe work boots

I actually ordered these work boots for my husband who is a mechanic. He has to have steel toe boots to protect his feet in case he drops any tools or parts. These boots fit him perfectly. I sized them up two sizes then he normally takes and that worked. These are also really nice boots to wear out casually under a nice pair of slacks or even jeans. He says they are extremely comfortable to wear all day long and he does not suffer any foot fatigue after wearing them.

High Quality Work Boot but Very Tight

Xena Workwear, Valence SD Steel Toe Women's Work Boots, ASTM F2413 Certified, OSHA Compliant, SIZE 6.5, COLOR Onyx Black: I appreciate the attention to details with these boots, but they are not very comfortable. I normally wear a 6W/6.5W or 6.5/7. I went with 6.5 because these have a round toe and wide were not available. The 6.5 fits in length but is very tight on width. The steel toe makes these boots a little heavy, but that is expected. These are slip-resistant with good traction. Even with the two finger holds, these are still difficult to get on and off. Overall, these boots are too tight for me and just don’t feel right when I walk. Definitely size up by 1 or get wide if you have wider feet or wear thicker socks.

Doesn't Look Like Work Shoes

These are beautiful boots. They have really nice arch support. They are not quite as narrow as the Doc Martin brand, also not as heavy too. You can tell these are built to last. I would highly recommend them.

Incredibly sturdy

Maybe too much so? Like, if you want them for an edgy fashion statement, I think look elsewhere. These boots aren't called "workwear" for nothing. They have steel toes and a very thick (read: heavy) sole with a slip-resistant tread. I'll give them high marks for durability and style, but functionality? Until they're broken in, it's gonna be an uncomfortable couple of months. I appreciate that they're made with high quality leather but I don't know if it that justifies the price point.
