Xero's Aqua X Sport Barefoot Water Shoes do exactly what I need them to do and more! They’re so flexible and comfortable to wear, offering a secure fit without being tight, which means I won’t lose them in a kayak spill or wave crash! They keep river rocks out and have great tread and traction which prevent me from slipping on slippery terrain when out of the water. They drain water well so my feet don’t slip around inside. The adjustable bungee lock assures they stay snug and are quick to put on and easy to take off. The wide toe box allows my toes able room to splay, hooray! They are very lightweight yet protect my feet well thanks to amazing reinforcement in all the right places.Regarding sizing, they are slightly generous in length and perfect for my long, slender’ish feet. Although, I did try several sizes to get my perfect fit and went with size 11 to allow a little extra length for my toes. Very pleased since I usually have to buy men’s shoes in outdoor wear to get the same length. Delighted with this brand for carrying a perfect footbed and shoe that accommodates my feet! Good overall water shoe
I wore these while putting my kayak on my car, during the paddle and putting it back on my car. They worked well, protecting my feet. I don't think I would want to walk much distance in them, as the support wasn't great (hence the 4 stars). Water drained out of them quickly and kept larger rocks out of the shoe. Sand will still get in them, but still a step up from the sandals I was using. "Amazon" suggested a size 9, but it was a bit too short so the size 9.5 worked well for me. I generally wear a 9 in normal shoes and a 10 in running shoes.

These run narrow and a little short for me - I sized up 1/2 size
I sized up a 1/2 size - the size 9 was too tight and short, the 9 1/2 fits With the more narrow fit getting them on takes a little effort but I like how they fit and feel. Good traction.

Not a wide toe box fit
I want to love these…. but… I already sent back my normal size for barefoot shoes and bought a half size up. They still feel too tight. While they might be a zero drop, they are not a wide toe box shoe. Perhaps if you go up a full size?

This is important to me because I wear them to work. Indeed, my knees are shot, and standard shoes are stiff and pull on my knees when I walk.
