I wear these shoes to work all the time. I love that they don’t squish my toes. They are cute for barefoot shoes. I can walk all day and my feet don’t hurt at the end of the day. The black leather is great and goes well with pants and dresses. I wear no-show socks or tights with them. I ordered my usual size. The leather molds some with use, so they are less snug than when I got them and feel like slippers now.
I bought the black leather ballet shoe from Xero because I recently bought some Xero sneakers in-store. My feeling when walking around in the Xero sneakers is “Ahhhhhh” my feet just feel so good when I wear them.When I tried these flats on in my usual size I was worried they were too small, too short. Even with a low/medium volume foot, my big toe felt jammed against the front of the shoe. What would I do if I wanted to wear socks? The shoes would be way too tight then. But the rest of the shoe fit well and I wondered if the leather might stretch in time. I was pretty indecisive if I would exchange for an 8, but 8s are always too big for me. It occurred to me to try the shoe on without the insole. Once I removed the insole there was plenty of room. Even the length was fine. I knew for sure at that point 7.5 was the correct size for me.I like that the back inside has this sort of little padded shelf to keep the shoe from flopping off my narrow heel. The style is very cute. Casual but polished. Definitely what I was looking for. I gave 4 stars because I don’t find this shoe any more comfortable than my regular ballet flats. I’m hoping they will break in with time but we’ll see. I believe in the value for my foot health but in terms of comfortable feel, these are only average comfort. I am new to barefoot shoes but I guess my experience with the comfort of the Xero sneaker set the bar high for me.
Although the one panel that seems to be an animal print texture isn't my favorite, I still really like these shoes. (I noticed the website shows these in an all-black no animal print version now) I got them a little bigger than I normally would, based on other reviews, but it seems to have worked out. It will give me a bit of space if I wear tights in winter. They do seems oddly wide in the middle, but they did stay on.I got these ballet flats to wear for my son's wedding in Colorado. The ceremony was at a mountain overlook and these were perfect for the walk from the parking lot to the site. (Dirt/gravel path) Others felt they had to wear sneakers under their long dresses, but my Xeros got me there and back without any damage to them. Wide toebox, zero drop, dressy exterior -- I need a few more of these. I didn't have the big toe rubbing problem that a few others mentioned. I do make sure I file my toenails and I think that makes a difference regarding any shoes with lower toebox volume.
I really want to love these shoes. They are nice looking, but I've had to go to great lengths and multiple exchanges to find a size I can use...and somehow the running shoes by xero run larger than the dress shoes. Finally got the "right" size, but the toe box is tight and hard and also presses down on my toes, while the remainder of the shoe is very loose. So, to stand in the shoes, I must take out the liners, but if I want to walk a few steps, I have to put them back in. Neither way is comfortable or worth the money.
For being wide toe box shoes, these sure hurt my toes. I never leave reviews, but feel these need to be redesigned. I even bought another pair and sized up, and still they hurt my toes
Cute and comfy! I have a wide foot, narrow heal and need a wide toe box ..these work for me. They could have more support and I wouldn't trek in them. I bought for dress up and appreciate the light weight and flexibility( I can do various foot exercises) of the sole . Nice quality for the price
I purchased the black leather version. These shoes have the most comfortable toe box of all flats I have tried. They are dressy enough to wear in a business casual office. The sole is great if you are used to minimalistic shoes.I initially tried them on around my house and they felt great. However, when I wore them to work for a full day, they cut into my heel so badly that I bled through the shoe. I do not recommend wearing these for a full day without a backup plan in case you have a similar problem. Not sure if I can return them since they are damaged now.
