Great price on a quality shoe
Got them in today, very comfortable, gives you a lot of traction for rocky terrain. These shoes can be worn on a hike as you approach rocks. you’ll need this flat footed design if you're looking to traverse slippery surfaces. Plenty of room in the toe area, they lace up tight. Very comfortable shoe, every step is cushioned, I highly recommend these if you appreciate a good quality, comfortable, shoe. I’m a nine U.S., so to me, a perfect fit. Down side to these comfortable shoes, even though they’re great for hiking in all terrains. Not a tremendous amount of arch support if you plan on carrying any weight on your back for an extended period of time.

True approach shoe? No. Great otherwise? Yes!
Not like name brand approach shoes! I have worn approach shoes from Arcteryx and Asolo and they have bullet proof soles and you feel like a mountain goat. XPETI has a softer shank and you can feel every root and big rock, these won't replace my other hiking shoes. But the fit is great, lots of room in the toe box, very comfortable and look awesome. They seem to be well built and have excellent traction even on wet surfaces. While not true approach shoes in my opinion (hence 4 stars), these are great for daily use on well traveled paths and around town. Great shoe for the price.

Can't go wrong
First - these shoes are gorgeous, and really well made. The sole and laces are substantial. Super comfortable for long walks in the woods or around town. For the price point, I am very impressed.

Big toe box, very pliable and grippy
I owned and destroyed a pair of shoes that these are a direct copy of and honestly these so far have been an upgrade in comparison. They're lightweight and so far durable, great feel under my toes and my feet don't hurt at all. I work construction and run on top plates and scaffolds all day and these are great work shoes and run wild shoes.

Surprised by the quality and fit of these shoes. The price is great and they are comparable to Keen Approach shoes, which I also have. Flat bottom and wide foot bed allow for foot to spread comfortably and feel the ground. Great day/city shoes or light hard pack trail shoes, or for approaching the rock climbing spot. I ditched the insoles for one that addresses my plantar fasciitis, but I do that will all my shoes.They are not stiff shoes, be mindful not the best for long or uneven hiking.I normally wear an 11 in Merrell shoes and 10 in Keens. I went with 11 for these ones but probably would have been fine at 10.5

Great shoe!
Nice shoe! Roomy toe box as stated (not as wide as Keen, but also 1/2 the price). Specs say suede upper - it looks it, but it's a bit stretchy (hmmm) which is actually really nice. Had em for a wk, they are very comfy. 3mi brisk fitness walk today and feets were totally content. Run super true to size. I'll be shopping the XPETI store for more shoes in the future.
