Warm in below freezing temps
I took a walk in these after some snow fall the next morning. My feet were warm and held up against salt, ice and snow. You will slip on ice in these because they don’t have micro spikes but the traction is great up and down hill. Putting these on is easy and the same as taking them off, you don’t need hands! I bought these because i had surgery and am wearing a brace for my arm so slip on and off is needed. My feet don’t hurt in these, i walked 5mi no problem. Overall this is a great pair of boots and the olive green is nice!

XPETI Men's Cocoon Mid Waterproof Winter BootsThis is my second pair of XPETI boots. The first pair I got is a pair of hiking boots that have performed well. I got these because I needed something to slip on while I go out to my garage, mailbox, etc. The boots go on easily, but I do have to grab the boot pull in the back to get them on, so they aren’t totally hands-free. I wear a size 12 boot, but I normally get a 12.5 in winter boots if they’re available, just to accommodate my winter socks. I got the 12.5 in these, and they are just a little too loose for my liking. Since I’m not doing any serious work in them, it’s not a big deal. The boots are very comfortable and keep my feet warm for short periods. I have not tried wearing them out in the cold for anything more than a ½ hour at a time. The coldest it’s been where I live is about 30°f. I can’t say how waterproof these are because it hasn’t snowed yet. I suspect they would only be waterproof for the first couple of inches. After that, snow would be above the fabric, but I can’t say if it would absorb it or not. The price of $59.99 for the boots seems in line with similar types of boots.

Great boots!
These are great boots! They wear like house slippers, but have great insulation and are really waterproof. I got them for slip-on dog walkers, and they've become my firewood fetchers and my mailbox runners, too. They're lightweight with a really sturdy sole which feels "tacky" on slick, icy surfaces.I'm very satisfied with my purchase, and I recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable, durable step-in for the occasional outdoor chore, or a hike in not-too-deep snow.

Warm and comfortable. Was driving to a football game with the heater on and the new shoes. Noticed a funny smell, turned out to be the shoes. Kind of a funky rubber smell. I assume it will fade. Wasn't totally obnoxious, but off putting. Sure would hate to work in that factory.
