XPETI Men’s Raider Winter Hiking Boots
These boots are super solid and built for serious cold weather and rough terrain. The traction is great on wet and slippery surfaces, and they keep your feet warm and dry even in winter conditions. That being said, just know they are on the heavier side, so they’re better for short hikes or outdoor work rather than all-day walking. Once you’re used to the weight, they feel very sturdy and supportive. Overall, they’re a great option if you need durable winter boots.

Comfort, support and warmth.
I wear a size 14 and it's always nice to find inexpensive shoes in my size. A lot of the bargain brands don't go much past 12s. They fit well and are on the generous side so they can accommodate thicker socks for warmth or hiking. They're pretty warm on their own and the side and top padding makes them pretty comfortable for full high-top boots.The laces are ginormous and I have to double lace them, but maybe folks with wider feet or bigger canckles will find those the right size. The seem well made and likely to handle the trails or snow well. I'll check back in here after we get some snow on the ground to see how waterproof they are.

Exceptional design and solid construction, even if somewhat heavy
I think that these boots have a good design and solid construction, even if somewhat heavy.They fit great. I was initially concerned because of the synthetic outer material that perhaps they would be stiff or uncomfortable. Just the opposite. I am quite impressed. I also think these boots give a very nice modern almost technical appearance. They have quality details included like the metal eyelets included for the shoelaces, Thinsulate ( a name-brand insulation material ) is added and they are even waterproofed with reinforced toes… There is a lot of value here. All that and comfort besides. I ordered mine in the brown and black combination and I think they look really terrific. The souls of the boot feel really firm and solid and will obviously last a long time as well. I would not hesitate to wear these for any casual occasional or outdoor activity. I mostly wear them with jeans and they look terrific.

These boots bring a lot of surprising features at this price point:- These boots are very warm.- 3M Thinsulate is a pleasant surprise at this price point.- The insole is removable for those who need orthotics or just want to remove them to dry out the boot- The entire interior is fleece lined, even underneath the insole- The "Ice Grip" outsole is noticeably grippier than the other parts of the outsole. These blue-tinged pieces have a sandpaper feel.- The metal hooks for the laces are strong and will withstand very tight lacing.- The upper seems to repel water well.With regard to overall comfort, the fleece lining goes a long way towards making the boot comfortable. The sole is thick and thus firm as with all boots, but it has some flexibility to make walking more natural and will loosen up further over time.The boot is quite well insulated. Using some other boots that I have as a reference, these boots should be good for -20F to +25F. The boots feel quite warm and although advertised as breathable, the fact is that any waterproof boot will feel very warm which is why these will be useful only in the coldest of temperatures without producing a lot of sweat. The upside is that these are useful in the coldest of temperatures!These boots compare favorably with better known brands selling at 50% to 100% higher prices.
