Good fit. Good support. Solid feel.
*With every shoe or boot I purchase, I immediately replace the insoles with new ones.I’ve owned Xpeti winter boots for a few years now. This is my first venture into their shoes. Most new foot wear takes a while to break in. There’s pressure points that you’re not used to. I’m a courier for FedEx, running a rural route in the hills of Alaska, so my terrain is steep and uneven with varying degrees of grippable surfaces.I wore these shoes for the first time today. We are going through spring break-up here and there’s still lots of snow, ice and now mud to trudge through. One of the best things I can say about this shoe is that I rarely noticed them. They were comfortable, grippy and performed like I’d been wearing them for months. They’re a little difficult to get on. But that was to be expected with the elastic draw string system.Overall, I felt no discomfort while wearing, and no residual pain afterward.First blush… a very good shoe.*** UPDATE: After six months of rigorous use, these shoes have held up exceptionally well. All the material transition points have kept their adhesion integrity. The fit has kept its purpose. The traction on steep ground is great. I will buy these again next summer!

Great
I purchased these shoes as inexpensive backups. I have worn Keens for the last 12 years. Keens have great support in them for my feet. I bought these shoes and found them to be very comfortable and supportive for my feet. I usually get 2 years of everyday wear from Keens before replacing them. I am hoping that I can now prolong my Keens by switching them back and forth with these shoes.

Impressive Features, Great Fit, and Solid Build
I ordered the XPETI Men’s Pathfinder Low Stretch Waterproof Hiking Shoes in size 12.5 (Brown), and they exceeded my expectations right out of the box. The packaging was great, shipping was fast, and the shoes feel fully branded and feature-rich.I had a specific checklist when shopping for hiking shoes: a waterproof membrane, an elastic cord with a NIFCO lock lacing system, and a neoprene ankle cuff. This pair checked every box. They’re very easy to step into, the lacing tightens securely, and the ankle support feels solid. The aggressive grip outsole is a bonus—the shoes actually feel “sticky” when walking across my wood floors, which makes me confident they’ll do great on the trail. Arch support seems ample, too.I originally ordered a size 12 but exchanged them for a 12.5 to make room for thicker hiking socks. The fit now feels just right. They’re sturdy, well-made, and thoughtfully designed. Even the included care instructions were a nice surprise. The only reason I didn’t give them five stars is that the neoprene ankle cuff bunches up a little at the top after I tighten the lacing. It’s minor, and with all the features and value you get at this price, it might be something I can overlook.Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and looking forward to hitting the trail with the added peace of mind of the waterproof design.UPDATE: I’ve now hiked over 10 miles in these shoes across all kinds of terrain—rocks, slopes, dirt trails, gravel, and even some mud—and they’ve been amazing so far. The ankle and arch support held up great, and the traction stayed solid the entire time. My favorite feature is still how easy they are to put on and take off, especially after a long hike. I haven’t had a chance to fully test the waterproofing yet, but based on everything else, I think I’ve found a winner.

Great value for the money, but don’t expect long life if you’re going hard
Excellent waterproofing. Looks as nice as a more expensive shoe. Doesn’t last too long with heavy use.Got three months out of mine. Still completely waterproof, but the stitching around the heal enclosures busted looseIn fairness, I’m on my feet for a minimum of eight hours a day, pretty heavy duty, over 200 pounds of sheer fine manliness. Someone else might get a better outcome

Decent shoes
So far good shoes for the money. I don't find them difficult to put on at all as others have stated. Slip right on. Fairly comfortable better than expected. Size is right on. Seem well built.

Don't like the bungee laces, nor tongue-less design, nor hot neoprene lining
I found the bungee laces to be more of a hassle than regular laces. Difficult to get them tight enough and when they are tight enough, there is so much extra lace, it's difficult to store the excess so you don't trip over the elastic lace. There is no tongue in this shoe, which is not as comfortable as having a tongue. Difficult to get the shoe on, because the outside of the shoe is a tight fitting neoprene (wet suit material), which is also hot temperature wise. Found my feet to be too hot for summer hiking. The only thing I like about these shoes is the sole which has great traction. Bungee laces are a trendy gimmick for hiking shoes. Maybe they're ok for everyday shoes, but not for hiking where you need real adjustable support.
