I was looking for a new pair of boots that wouldn't give me any blisters while I was walking on our new land. My old pair of boots kind of chewed up my feet and I just didn't want to do that again. I am happy to say that I wore these new boots several times with great results. They look great, are not too hot in the hot weather and best of all, no blisters.
I used the size guide on here & thought I would be ok since the size 9 said the foot measurement from heal to toe was 10.1 & my foot was at a 9. But they arrived & I should have ordered a 1/2 size bigger like everyone said in the reviews. In the toe area it is narrow. But otherwise they are comfortable & they are a little lighter than normal hiking boots but are not as light as some would make you think. The tread on the bottom seems like it would have good traction for hiking a mountain. The material is made very well & think it would hold up in a variety of conditions. I had to reorder a 1/2 size bigger & will test them out to know for sure.Update: I ordered 1/2 size bigger & the toe area was not very much wider than the 9 returning these also. They are cute boots & look well made. Hated to order a 1/2 to a size bigger because I think it would be the same issue. But they were very good about returns so far. I wish they would have fit.
I just ordered my 2nd pair to make sure I have another one. They are comfortable, the cushioning inside hasn't worn down, breathable and have good ankle support while still being flexible. They are mostly waterproof although with continued moisture/rain on top of the shoe will eventually get your feet wet. I hiked on snow covered trails for hours and got wet feet after the snow covering them repeatedly but have stepped through creeks and have not had any issue.
I'm always skeptical of the unknown brands that pop up on Amazon, but this was a solid hit for me especially at the price. I broke these in very slightly for a day just walking around before taking them on a tough 12 mile hike. It kept my feet dry (until I completely fell in the stream) and more importantly didn't give me ANY blisters. I feel a few times and the toe box was roomy enough to accommodate that. The shoes didn't fall apart even though I had used it for wading, climbing and hiking through tuff terrain. I didn't get any sticks poking through the fabric either. I couldn't believe how durable and comfortable these are. I almost want to buy a second pair in case they stop making these or increase the price, bc these boots are worth every penny.
Love my new hiking boots. Have worn them several times while off roading in the mountains. Will be buying again
Good for moderate terrain. Mud and creek crossings. My feet stayed dry. Excellent price for these boots.
