Really love these boots

These were recommended to me by someone else who said they loved them. I usually don't wear high top shoes but I thought I'd try them. They are very comfortable. Not stiff like most hightop boots/shoes. These are like a hybrid between a sneaker and a boot. Waterproof, yes, they do keep my feet dry and they have been in a lot of water and mud. Sturdy. Most hiking boots will make my hip hurt, these do not. Don't make my feet hurt. The fit was perfect. Size 10, size 10 fit perfect. The only thing bad, if you step down on the back part of the shoe then it breaks down fast to the point evey time you slide your feet in the boots you need to hold the loop on the back to keep the back of the shoe from going down with your foot. That is the only negative. They are light weight, not clunky or bulky. I will definatly order another pair when this one is done. But for the torture I've put them through they don't look much different then when I bought them, the tread doesn't even look that worn. I don't know about traction as I'm usually on grass and I use them around the house not for hiking or anything like that. Still like my sneakers for long walks.

Get a full size larger

Update -these quickly became my favorite boots. I've walked around stores, sidewalks, trails, and just tooling around in the yard picking up sticks, trimming back branches- they are VERY comfortable. On pavement/hard floors they have good cushioning, outside - the stabiity & traction are wonderful. I'm very pleased with them. I've worn $200.00 boots that I was not as impressed with. I'm upgrading from 4 to 5 stars - because once the size is right, the boots is excellent.Definitely require a FULL size larger than usual. The heel/arch support is just fine.Just unboxed & walked around the house... This is my second pair of XPETI, the other I ordered a half size larger - as suggested - those will do fine with very thin socks. BUT I wanted a pair I can wear with wool socks- so far, these will be good. Comfortable - but the arch may be a little too much nearest my heel. I expect that to "wear in".Love the styling, sole lugs are aggressive and strong - I believe they will be great walking some of the rocky trails around here. Snug but can still wiggle my toes, feels like they'll help keep good balance. I like them. I'll try to update after I've put them to use. Very glad I ordered a full size larger. (Some Nike I can do 8.5, most Nike & Adidas I do a size 9. I ordered a 10 for these)

Great for wide feet!

Boot didn't come in wide width. So I ordered a 1/2 size larger. Fit is excellent with thick or thin socks. Feels like a wide width, roomy foot bed and very comfortable! Very good looking boot also! Amazing boot for the price. Great price too!

Great Boot- Buy Larger size

Im traveling to Scotland in May. Just arrived: runs small, I'm a 9 and there's no room for thick socks or insert. Lightweight, styilish, great rubber sole- stiff, not sure how long to break in. Comfortable, but needs a little more cushioning. Trying them inside my house- my feet feel sweaty. I'm going to wear them outside first- it's 30° n windy. If they keep my feet warm- I'll reorder a 10. So I'll have room for socks and arch/more cushion.5/19/25 UPDATE: still 4 stars. I love them. Great gripping rubber for rock climbing. Need shorter and stronger strings. Even after double tying, I HAD A FALL! While walking to dinner, The string loop from left boot caught on the top hook of the right boot and I went down! Imagine if happened while hiking or climbing??? I recommend they be closed hooks.

Great Quality!

I needed a light weight black boot for work. I chose these because they had a nice look, low price and the reviews seemed pretty good. Several of the reviews suggested ordering 1 size bigger and I should have done just that. They do run small. I have regular feet, not narrow, not wide and I consistently wear a 9 in most ladies boots. I did order 1/2 size larger but they were a bit tight on my right foot, snug but do-able on the left. I tried to be optimistic and think they might relax a bit after wearing them, nope.So after all that, here’s my honest opinion of these boots…..Very light weight! They have a nice, sturdy, quality constructed feel to them. I really like that the bottoms are made of a rugged and strong rubber that indicated to me that they will hold up for a long time….we shall see. They do seem to breathe quite well and my feet are not overheating so far. The boot is padded just enough that it feels like I’m wearing cozy slippers that are hugging my feet. The insoles are ok, not bad but I would purchase an after market insole that had a bit more arch support and a tad more cushion under your feet.Final…..these are the best boots I have had in the past 10 years! For a great price.Unfortunately, since I have worn them to work twice, I sure they wont exchange them for the next size up BUT basing the comfort level of my left foot, LOL I will be purchasing a size 10, adding a high quality insole and I will have the PERFECT, lightweight, durable, stylish and extremely comfortable work boot!******But make sure you order 1 full size larger. And that was with regular socks. This is an honest review, I was not paid or compensated in any way.

Sturdy, supportive, comfortable, and cute

I've had these for 2 months now. I tried to break them in slowly because they seemed so stiff, but quickly discovered I didn't have to. They were comfortable right away. I go for vigorous neighborhood walks every night with my dog and these are working very well for me. I just inspected the heels tonight to see what kind of wear was going on - just a tiny loss of sheen in my normal area of wear. Not bad for all of the miles on them. Love the purple ombre too! I'd buy these again!
