Lightweight these certainly are! Most of the upper is a kind of airy plastic material. Around the heel it appears to be paper coated with a layer of plastic. In certain places there's a more substantial plastic. It's well thought out, actually. The soles are a kind of grooved material that could be rubber or could be not rubber, but are designed obviously for grip.i wouldn't take these into the woods for rugged hiking -- they might get ripped to shreds. But for getting around town they should be adequate.They are not at all flexible. Be aware of that, if that is important.They might be just a little small as far as sizing goes.

Comfortable and high quality, wide toe box
These CIVHOM sneakers are really great quality and they feel pretty soft - the material is nice and soft. The shoes are very wide in the front which gives your toes lots of room to spread out the way they want. That much width may not be the best style if you are used to sleeker sneakers but the comfort is fantastic. My feet don’t feel pressed or squeezed at all whether going for walks or working out. So lightweight and they’re super non-slip. I’ve never slipped in them and they have good traction. I need wide shoes, so these are amazing, and they work great for exercise or wearing around. The cushioning is pretty solid too and they feel supportive and not heavy. If you prefer comfort over looking narrow and athletic these are awesome! I’m really happy with how comfortable they are for all-day wear and for workouts inside.

Not cute but they are comfy
Definitely NOT “cute” shoes at all but the extra wide toe box is a relief for my poor feet and they’re roomy enough for me to do my toe exercises in during work! Will not be wearing them outside of work but for standing all day they’re great! Lightweight and pretty comfortable. Can easily fit an orthotic inside and not overly expensive.

I’m going on a trip soon to several big amusement parks. I will be on my feet all day long every day and needed a pair of comfortable shoes. I am a big flip-flop girl because I love letting my feet air out and I do not like having them confined in a pair of tennis shoes. These shoes are perfect for me because they are primarily made of breathable material throughout. It is basically a thick fabric mesh. The soles of the shoes are very well made, and are thick, grippy, and squishy… super comfortable for me, even though I have bad feet. The souls have a bouncy feel to them. It was a relief to find women’s shoes in a larger size. The wide size is definitely for wider feet at least on the upper half of the foot near the toes. That will be nice when I experienced my occasional swelling. I never experienced any discomfort or blisters while breaking them in, which I am normally prone to. While I wouldn’t want to wear them anywhere with a lot of dirt due to the mesh material, I’m sure I’ll be very happy with them at the amusement parks.
